Michael is Past President of the World Federation of Public Health Associations and is a Member of RI COVID Taskforce
 

Andrea is an Eastern Region Supervisor for Rotarians Against Malaria and has been part of a team visiting places like Timor Leste, Solomon Islands and West Timor.

 

Kerry is  the founder of Women in Rotary. She is a Past President of the RC of Albert Park and works to get rid of the blinding disease trachoma.

 

Following an introduction by Michael to the social determinants of health and how the Rotary Foundation ‘Areas of Focus’ align with international goals. Andrea will discuss action by Rotarians seeking to eliminate malaria. Kerry and Rob McGuirk from Rotary Melbourne, as founders and managers of the Rotary Districts of Australia End Trachoma Project, will explain how it has enabled hundreds of clubs from all parts of Australia to provide support for remote indigenous communities to help them eliminate this blinding eye disease.

This will be followed by an interactive session with ideas and responses to questions.
